RMF, the radio that lets those who chose the world as their home stay connected to French culture.

The radio for the French
who chose the world.

From Goldman to Flavien Berger, from Indochine to Feu! Chatterton, from Françoise Hardy to Julien Doré, from Cookie Dingler to Miel de Montagne — human curation, chosen by Julien, for those who live in the present.

Why RMF

You chose the world. You keep France in music.

Spotify locks you into what you already love. Traditional French radio speaks to you from Paris, as if you were still there. RMF does the opposite of both: real curation, truly for you.

At RMF, Julien is a human who chooses the music — not an algorithm. We follow Goldman with Flavien Berger without asking for permission. We slip Pomme after Cabrel because it just fits. We place Indochine behind Feu! Chatterton because we like it, and we think you'll like it too.

No nostalgia. No folklore. No "it was better before." French music is alive — and we are here to pass it on to you, wherever you live on this planet.

"Spotify locks you into your taste. RMF gets you out."
— The RMF conviction
With family, on the road, everywhere

France passes down.
RMF makes it heard.

RMF lives in your daily life. On the school run, on your way to the office, coming back from a weekend away. A radio that goes with you, that's shared in the family, that's discovered together.

Your children will know Goldman because you'll listen to him in the car. They'll discover Juliette Armanet because she'll come right after Souchon. They'll know Polo & Pan exists because we'll have played them before Cabrel.

French culture isn't taught. It's listened to, together. And it starts here, on the radio, with your family.

The founders

A venture by two seasoned professionals.

Julien Cardon, former Development Director of the RTL Group — RTL, RTL2, Fun Radio. Delphine Béné, journalist and producer, founder of Be Medias for twenty years.

RMF was born in Montreal, from a French expat couple who wanted to offer francophones around the world a radio worthy of their standards. Today, it is a global digital radio listened to in 95 countries, driven by a simple conviction: French culture deserves better than the nostalgia we inflict upon it.
